Who is Jason Lew?

My North Hempstead Story

For the past 10 years, my family and I have proudly called North Hempstead home. As a devoted husband and father of three, I'm invested in this community's success.

Values That Drive Results

Growing up in a multigenerational household in Flushing, Queens, I learned from my family that hard work and perseverance can overcome any obstacle. Those values carried me through public school, the University at Buffalo, and a 15-year career on Wall Street and Technology Startups.

Like many Chinese American immigrant families, we understood that success comes from preparation, persistence, and never accepting "that's just how things are done." Now I want to bring that same problem-solving approach to the Town Clerk's office.

The Moment I Decided to Run

The decision to run came from our community being trapped in a cycle where we're promised hope but delivered excuses. Business owners unable to resolve licensing issues that directly impact their livelihoods. Residents bounced between staff who don't know basic procedures. Communities frustrated by a system that talks about caring but fails to deliver results.

I also recognized the reality that in a town where Asian Americans make up a significant portion of our community, we remain dramatically underrepresented in local government. Our voices, our perspectives, and our solutions are missing from the table where decisions are made about our future.

Proven Community Leadership

As President of GRACE (Greater Roslyn Association for Chinese Enrichment), I've demonstrated how effective leadership can bridge divides. I've worked directly with local officials to address real problems affecting families—building the relationships and understanding I'll bring to serve every resident of North Hempstead, regardless of background.

My Promise

I'm not running to be another career politician. I'm running to be the Town Clerk who finally makes this office work for you—efficiently, transparently, and with the respect every taxpayer deserves.

Because at the end of the day, good government isn't about who you are—it's about what you deliver.
